Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership direction to drive the implementation of product strategy, assuming the role of Product Strategist.
  • Provide strategic focus and information to plan experts by maintaining awareness of industry trends, proactively recommending next‑generation products, and seeing them through to conclusion.
  • Interact with diverse audiences to identify, validate, and resolve business needs across multiple segments and organizational levels.
  • Evaluate current and potential market, product, and brand positions for the enterprise product portfolio based on product reporting, analytics, and competitive market research.
  • Lead ongoing monitoring and analysis of product line results and coordinate enterprise‑wide activities to ensure corporate sales and retention goals are supported by product development activities.
  • Manage product line to ensure strategic initiatives are integrated across the enterprise.
  • Capitalize on and leverage enterprise knowledge, functionality, and processes.
  • Lead a multifunctional team that supports strategy, product management, product development (of existing products), supporting plans, and problem solving; interface with external business relationships to coordinate vendor solutions.
  • Provide support, guidance, and problem resolution for enterprise‑wide product administration, including collaboration on local product administration, new product implementation, and installation.
  • Prepare and manage budget, ensuring expenses stay within limits.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co‑workers, management, and customers.
  • Comply with HIPAA, diversity principles, corporate integrity, the compliance program, and other applicable policies.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding developments in areas of responsibility and perform special projects as required or requested.
  • Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Administration and 15 years of experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting OR 19 years of such experience.
    • 7 years of management experience.
    • Experience with enterprise‐wide project coordination, project management, facilitation, presentation, and leadership.
    • Knowledge of field sales operations and business strategies in the insurance industry.
    • Experience with budget management, including managing outside consultants.
    • Experience leading and mentoring staff.
    • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience interacting successfully with senior management and staff across multiple departments.
    • Organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Creativity and innovation, analysis, and implementation skills.
    • Business acumen and project/process integration skills.
    • Overseeing the annual budget and allocating resources for various projects and operational needs.
    • Translating needs and initiatives into compelling business cases.
    • Conducting cost‑benefit analyses to justify investments and ensure ROI.

    Please note this is a hybrid role in Chicago, 3 days per week.
