Role Overview

Patient Access Supervisor – Huron Consulting Group, partnered with Baystate Health. The role is located in Springfield, MA and is an onsite position. You will manage second‑shift operations, overseeing front‑end revenue cycle functions—including registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and point‑of‑service collections—to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient patient interactions. The position reports to both Baystate Health leadership and Huron experts, contributing to strategic initiatives that transform healthcare operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team that serves as the gateway to care, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in every interaction.
  • Supervise all day‑to‑day activities and processes within the registration department, maintaining performance standards.
  • Strategically align staffing to support workload while meeting budget requirements.
  • Drive compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and revenue‑cycle best practices.
  • Monitor metric performance, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with partner departments across clinical and revenue‑cycle spaces.
  • Drive positive patient and employee experience through engaged leadership and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of patient access experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 1–2 years of progressive supervisory or lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue‑cycle processes, insurance requirements, and patient access workflows.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with patient access systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary and Benefits
  • Estimated base salary range: $55,000 – $75,000.
  • Eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage and additional wellness programs.
