Regulatory Compliance Specialist
General Responsibilities
Lead all construction compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle to deliver project deliverables to the required scope and schedule with minimal oversight.
Manage workload across multiple projects, providing seamless milestone delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
Represent the company in discussions with stakeholders, third‑party consultants and the project’s customer as applicable.
Manage project deliverables across multiple contractors and scopes to ensure adherence to project schedule.
Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted thought partner on each project they support.
Specific Responsibilities- Project Management – establish and lead regular project meetings and communications to ensure construction compliance deliverables are met; identify risks and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
- Construction Compliance – oversee and manage regulatory requirements to support construction tax benefits, including Prevailing Wage, Apprenticeship, Davis‑Bacon, Local and Domestic Content.
- Contract Review – evaluate draft contracts and proposals for appropriate compliance language; provide edits and feedback to internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
- Document Control – implement and manage document control processes to ensure accuracy, organization and accessibility of compliance‑related documents.
- Process Development – partner with senior leaders to develop and implement initiatives that are complex in scope; support junior team members on their initiatives.
- Process Auditing – conduct regular audits of internal processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Department Training and Support – serve as a go‑to resource for new team members during onboarding and support junior associates throughout the team.
- Training and Support – provide training and support to internal stakeholders and leaders regarding compliance requirements and best practices; act as subject matter expert on construction compliance topics.
- Project System Management – set up and maintain projects in the construction project management system; create and generate reports, analyze data, identify potential issues and propose solutions to Project Managers.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and coordination with other departments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a compliance, auditing, or regulatory role.
- 2+ years of document control and/or process auditing experience.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- 1+ year of renewable energy experience.
- 1+ year of construction experience.
- Experience with Prevailing Wage, Davis‑Bacon Act, and Local Content Compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
- In‑depth understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to prevailing wage, apprenticeship programs, Davis‑Bacon Act, and local content requirements.
- Proficient in document control systems and auditing methodologies.
- Excellent solution‑seeking, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and follow tasks to completion with minimal direction.
- Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders (preferred).
Base Pay: $ – $ USD per year.
Annual Bonus: 20% – 30% of base salary, subject to performance.
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may include eligibility to participate in Invenergy’s bonus program(s). Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and other company‑wide benefits.
