Job Description & How to Apply Below

iMentor is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Director of Corporate Partnerships to build and manage a growing portfolio of corporate funders. This role is central to advancing iMentor’s mission to help students in under-resourced communities succeed in college and beyond by securing and growing corporate philanthropic investment.

At a moment when companies are rethinking how to build the future workforce and address widening opportunity gaps, this role will help translate corporate priorities into meaningful partnerships that expand access to mentorship, networks, and career pathways for young people. This is an exciting moment at iMentor, as we expand our national partnerships strategy and deepen our work at the intersection of mentorship and economic opportunity.

Reporting to the National Managing Director of Institutional Partnerships, the Director is a key member of the Development team within External Relations. This is an individual contributor role for a fundraiser who can both cultivate new opportunities and manage a complex portfolio with strong execution and attention to detail, while bringing a strategic, multi-year lens to corporate partnerships and supporting the evolution of iMentor’s national partnership strategy.

The Director will manage a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects, securing 5‑6 figure philanthropic investments through grants and sponsor ships. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate and align internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful partner engagement and measurable impact.

Strategy & Portfolio Management
  • Manage a portfolio of 30–50 corporate partners and prospects with an annual revenue goal of $2–3 million.
  • Execute full lifecycle fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Bring a long‑term, strategic perspective to portfolio management, aligning partnerships to broader organizational priorities and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new corporate funders aligned with iMentor’s priorities.
  • Lead annual forecasting and reforecasting for your portfolio and pipeline; track progress against goals and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and partner with Development Operations to support reporting and performance tracking.
Corporate Partnership Development & Stewardship
  • Identify and engage new corporate prospects through research, outreach, and networking.
  • With support from Corporate Development Manager, develop tailored concepts, proposals, pitches, and partnership strategies that align corporate philanthropic priorities with iMentor’s programs and impact, while creating opportunities for deeper, multi‑dimensional engagement across employee engagement, brand visibility, strategic communications, and potential earned revenue opportunities.
  • Structure and negotiate philanthropic partnerships, including grants and sponsor ships and select fee‑for‑service opportunities.
  • Lead stewardship and benefits fulfillment for corporate partners, ensuring a high‑quality and consistent partner experience.
  • Oversee delivery of corporate benefits, including volunteer engagement, event activations, and corporate trainings, in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Represent iMentor externally at meetings, events, and industry convenings.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Grants Management
  • Partner closely with Program, Finance, Marketing & Communications, Research & Evaluation and Development Operations teams to scope partnerships, develop budgets, and define impact metrics.
  • Lead grants management and compliance for your portfolio, ensuring deliverables, reporting, and timelines are met in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against grant commitments and proactively address risks or challenges.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure strong execution of partnerships and alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Institutional Giving to align on shared accounts and strategy, including board leadership, fundraising events, and more.
