Broadening Your Expertise

This role offers the opportunity to join A&M PEPI’s MI&C team and develop an impressive range of operational skills. You will be exposed early to high‑profile deals throughout the U.S. and learn from top practitioners in the field.

The MI&C service line follows a structured, disciplined approach to create and capture value. We provide corporate and equity buyers with a continuum of knowledge and tools for mergers, acquisitions, carve‑outs, joint ventures and alliances.

The team works across the full spectrum of the deal lifecycle—from pre‑deal operational and synergy reviews to “Day 1” planning and post‑deal implementation. We also develop and review restructuring and turnaround plans and identify operational risks. Our services include due diligence (commercial, operational), Integration Management Office, synergy, TSA, integration planning, Day 1 Readiness, and post‑close execution.

Senior Associate Responsibilities
  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, supplementing standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, and developing recommendations in the context of the overall engagement.
  • Depending on deal size, assist with work streams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, Organizational Design.
  • Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and driving performance improvement in key areas:
    • Strategic planning
    • Operational optimization / consolidation
    • Back office consolidation
    • Supply chain
    • IT / reporting integration
    • Customer and channel management
  • Actively drive performance improvement assessments across an enterprise and participate in the implementation of recommendations.
  • Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives, adjusting integration strategies or personnel as required.
Qualifications
  • 4–6 + years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
  • Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus, but not required.
  • Deep functional expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • Finance & Accounting operations
    • HR / Organizational design
    • Role and Job Analysis
    • Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement
    • Communications planning and management
    • Knowledge Management and Transfer
  • Success at planning revenue growth and profitability initiatives and driving them operationally.
  • Program management and leadership experience.
  • Specific experience designing and leading the execution of internally‑focused and externally‑focused change/communications strategies.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and drive.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time.
Benefits Summary

Full‑time and part‑time positions (30 + hours): employees are entitled to healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan with an annual discretionary contribution. Eligible employees also receive paid time off—vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.

Salary range: $100,000 – $170,000 annually, based on education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
