Job Summary
The AWS North American Business Operations team within Sales Strategy, Operations & Enablement (SSOE) leads execution and planning for the Americas Field organization. The Business Operations & Planning Leader will manage the rhythm of the business, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and other cadence reporting and metrics. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, superb communication abilities, and a willingness to be hands‑on.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and continually improve the operational cadence for business teams within the AWS North America Sales organization.
- Develop tools and standard templates to scale operations.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and manage projects as needed.
- Lead discussions for MBRs, QBRs, and Operating Plan (OP) meetings.
- Build, maintain, and continually improve the Business Management System for North America.
- Create streamlined team materials surrounding the state of the business.
- Collaborate closely with Americas and SSOE leaders and executive support staff to establish dates for key business meetings and update operational cadence.
- 10+ years of senior leadership work in sales operations, sales strategy, finance, business development, or related fields.
- 7+ years of leading a divisional sales operations team or equivalent responsibilities supporting a multi‑geographical, large‑scale, hi‑tech sales organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience hiring and leading a high‑performance team.
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools used for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience in business‑process design.
- Experience rapidly growing an organization and attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
- Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company.
- Master's degree or equivalent.
