Senior Consultant, Associate and Engagement Manager
We are not typical "management" consultants. We provide industry and discipline-specific knowledge and expertise, which amplifies our impact and helps us shape the future for our clients.
The team is looking for experienced professionals who are already working in or are interested in focusing on the industrials industry, serving private equity clients.
Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise; the ideal candidate will have most of the following:
- Professional working experience with commercial due diligence in a management consulting firm.
- Experience working in industrials within private equity.
- Knowledge and in-depth experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.).
- A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
- Fluent in English.
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.
- Know how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and apply them.
- Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems.
- Have an aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down key issues in highly complex challenges.
- A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team.
Senior Consultants execute work streams from start to finish, including structuring and solving problems, synthesizing and communicating insights and recommendations, and work planning. They develop research and analysis plans for themselves and more junior consultants, selecting appropriate paths and identifying key hypotheses.
They often direct the work of one or more junior consultants and become the "go-to" person for the client on specific topics, shifting focus toward people and client management.
AssociatesAssociates break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. They plan and execute analysis, identify core issues in complex analyses, and craft suitable recommendations. Associates work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to get the work done, providing unique insight into the subject area they have chosen.
EngagementManagers
Engagement Managers are on-scene leaders who lead our projects day to day. They lead and execute due diligence engagements and/or post-transaction engagements aimed at supporting private equity funds and their portfolio companies. They ensure that findings are insightful and data-driven. The role demands thought leadership at a strategic level, command of all technical and operational details, great communication skills, and the ability to forge strong relationships.
BaseSalary and Benefits
The applicable base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $240,000.
Base pay will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
