West Monroe is currently hiring a Senior Consultant to join our Operations Excellence practice within the CIO Advisory discipline. The role will help clients drive large‑scale transformation initiatives by establishing and enhancing transformation office capabilities and partnering with executive stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.
What You'll Do- Support clients through large‑scale transformation initiatives by establishing and enhancing transformation office capabilities, including PMO operations, program governance, delivery orchestration, change management, and value realization.
- Lead client‑facing work streams, managing project scope, timelines, risks, governance, executive communications, and stakeholder alignment.
- Partner with client executives and cross‑functional business and technology stakeholders to facilitate governance, drive decisions, and align complex transformation programs.
- Advise clients on leading practices for program governance, PMO operations, delivery management, and transformation execution.
- Lead transformation work streams across business process improvement, technology delivery, implementation, testing, launch readiness, and operational optimization.
- Lead executive steering committees, governance forums, and cross‑functional workshops while developing executive‑ready communications and recommendations.
- Support engagement planning, quality assurance, issue and risk management, and successful client delivery.
- Help develop and enhance Transformation Office Advisory methodologies, tools, and reusable assets that strengthen client delivery.
- Support business development through client research, proposal development, and pursuit activities.
- Mentor junior consultants, support recruiting efforts, and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative practice culture.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data‑driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
- Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 4+ years of management consulting experience delivering enterprise transformation, program management, PMO, or transformation office engagements for external clients.
- Experience leading client‑facing work streams, partnering with executive stakeholders, and supporting complex business and technology transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting transformation offices, enterprise PMOs, program governance, or portfolio management, with knowledge of governance methodologies such as PMI, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or SAFe.
- Strong consulting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, influence decisions, and develop executive‑ready communications.
- Experience serving healthcare or life sciences clients strongly preferred; experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, patient services, commercial operations, or product launch initiatives is a plus.
- Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day‑to‑day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high‑quality outputs.
- Must be based in the Chicago metropolitan area to support a local healthcare client through regular onsite collaboration; ability to travel up to 50%; able to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship; commitment to inclusion and diversity.

- Competitive salary ranges based on geographic proximity:
- Chicago: $116,000—$136,500 USD
- Seattle or Washington, D.C.: $121,600—$143,000 USD
- Los Angeles: $127,100—$149,500 USD
- New York City or San Francisco: $110,500—$130,000 USD
