Product Line Manager - Malic & Fumaric Acid

A leading manufacturer of food and industrial ingredients is seeking a Product Line Manager to lead its malic and fumaric acid portfolio (approximately $30M in annual revenue). This individual will be responsible for pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, market development, and long‑term growth planning while partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing.

• Manage the overall performance, profitability, and growth strategy of the malic and fumaric acid product line.
• Drive pricing strategy, contract management, margin improvement, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) execution.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
• Partner with commercial teams on forecasting, customer engagement, sales support, and opportunity prioritization.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to align demand planning, inventory, production, quality, and service objectives.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on organic acids and related applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience in product management, product line management, commercial strategy, or a related function.
• Experience with in food ingredients, specialty chemicals, industrial materials, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in pricing, margin management, market analysis, and cross‑functional leadership.
• Ability to translate technical and market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
• Travel requirement of approximately 30-40%.

• Experience with organic acids (malic, fumaric, citric, lactic, etc.) or adjacent ingredient categories.
• Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial analytics environments.

A commercially minded business leader with experience managing specialty ingredient or chemical product portfolios, driving pricing and profitability initiatives, and working cross‑functionally to deliver revenue growth, margin expansion, and market development.
