POSTION SUMMARY

The Conflicts Analyst is a member of the Conflicts Services team that initiates the conflicts process for all new business to the Firm.

This role includes the initial steps of collecting, reviewing, researching and analyzing conflicts of interests information for new business. In doing so, this role ensures the firm maintains ethical standards in accordance with professional responsibility rules and firm policies.

This position works closely with the Firm partners, support staff, and the Conflicts Manager:
New Business, as well as the rest of the Conflicts and Business Intake Department.

Work Hours:

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday 8:45 am to 5:15 pm CT with a rotational shift (approximately one day per week) of 11:00 am to 7:30 pm CT.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Collect and review new client and matter requests
  • Research corporate information and family structures with the use of internal databases and external tools
  • Create conflicts reports and summary of selected hits with heightened risks to Conflicts Attorneys.
  • Maintain accurate client and matter data within the firm's intake and conflicts management systems.
  • Assist with a wide range of research requests and other projects, including audit letters and lateral hires.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a law firm environment, conflicts department experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of professional responsibility rules
  • Experience using conflicts software (Intapp), research tools (D&B, CapIQ) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze with attention to detail, think critically, problem-solve, and elevate when appropriate.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Ability to manage urgent tasks promptly while balancing competing priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Professional demeanor with a customer service mindset and discretion in handling confidential information.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $65,000-$90,000 in Chicago. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
