The primary purpose is to deliver value‑add sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional and consistent manner.

• Strategic Intake, Requirement Gathering and Demand Shaping: work with client stakeholders to define business needs, project scope, deliverables, timelines, budget expectations and success criteria; partner with senior business leaders to shape and challenge demand prior to finalisation; translate business objectives into multi‑year sourcing roadmaps and surface strategic sourcing opportunities.
• Category Strategy Alignment and Continuous Optimization: determine alignment with broader category strategy, preferred supplier programs, frameworks and rate cards; ensure sourcing effort reinforces global strategies and influence updates when market or business needs evolve.
• Advanced Market Intelligence and Supplier Ecosystem Development: conduct deep market analysis including macro‑trends, emerging delivery models, rate inflation drivers and consulting/managed services landscape shifts; build and curate a high‑performing supplier ecosystem, identifying strategic partners, niche providers and innovation opportunities.
• Strategic Sourcing Approach Design: architect sourcing strategies that maximise long‑term value, leveraging performance‑based structures, multi‑phase competitive events, capability assessments and alternative delivery models.
• RFx Creation & Management (RFI/RFQ/RFP): develop and issue sourcing documents, lead complex multi‑round RFx events and drive alignment across stakeholders.
• Bid Evaluation & Analysis: analyse supplier proposals across cost, capability, risk, diversity, technical approach, delivery methodology and compliance to determine best fit; identify supplier‑led innovation opportunities.
• Financial Analysis & Cost Modelling: perform rate benchmarking, TCO analysis, cost breakdown validation, negotiation preparation and scenario comparison; influence business cases with TCO insights and ROI modelling.
• Supplier Shortlisting & Recommendations: facilitate evaluation workshops with stakeholders, prepare recommendation decks and articulate sourcing outcomes.
• Negotiation Strategy Leadership & Execution: lead complex commercial and operational negotiations including pricing, rate cards, milestones, SLA, deliverables and performance‑based incentives.
• Contract Development & Redlining: drive completion of SOW, MSA or contract, manage redlines, align commercial terms, resolve open issues and architect contracts that optimise outcomes.
• Stakeholder Alignment & Governance Approvals: ensure alignment with business stakeholders, category leadership, finance, legal and required procurement governance boards.
• Contract Execution & Documentation: oversee final signatures and archiving of executed agreements.
• Supplier Onboarding & Handover: coordinate with vendor management, AP and operational teams for onboarding, PO creation, kickoff readiness and smooth transition post‑contract.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics); advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of hands‑on sourcing or procurement experience, with at least 4 years specifically in Professional Services category sourcing (consulting, HR services, employee benefits, training, legal services, audit, tax or contingent labour).
• Prior experience collaborating with legal, finance and global category teams and managing suppliers and stakeholders across regional and cultural boundaries.

• Competitive compensation:
  Chicago salary range $110,000 – $145,000 plus annual discretionary bonus.
