Lead Business Analyst
Lead Business Analyst:
Strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, responsible for leading requirements management, business process analysis, solution evaluation, and delivery support across multiple initiatives. The role includes mentoring other analysts, creating repeatable processes, and promoting enterprise standards and best practices.
$98,400/yr - $199,000/yr plus bonus. The base salary reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers may vary based on responsibilities, candidate skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
Core Business Analysis Responsibilities- Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation for IT initiatives
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Develop business process models, workflows, and gap analyses
- Maintain requirements traceability and support testing and UAT
- Partner with project managers, architects, developers, QA, and vendors
- Support solution evaluations, vendor selection, and business cases
- Mentor and coach Business Analysts
- Lead cross‑functional analysis efforts
- Promote consistent BA standards, tools, and templates
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and governance
- Support regulatory, risk, and audit requirements (SOX, GLBA)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, or 10 years of relevant experience in a related role
- 8+ years of IT business analysis experience
- 2+ years in a senior or lead BA role
- Strong experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Service Now, Visio, and MS Office
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or equivalent certification
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Experience with vendor‑hosted / SaaS platforms
