Customs & International Trade Tax Manager

Job Summary

At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy. In this role you will advise clients on VAT, GST, sales tax and other indirect taxes, helping them navigate complex regulations and optimize their positions. You will lead with integrity, inspire others, manage performance, and leverage technology and innovation to deliver high quality results.

• Manage client service accounts and lead engagement work streams.
• Develop, mentor, and supervise team members to deliver top‑notch results.
• Independently tackle and resolve intricate problems.
• Maintain significant client relationships.
• Inspire and guide teams through ambiguous scenarios.
• Maintain PwC’s quality standards and support the firm’s strategic objectives.
• Leverage technology and innovation to boost efficiency and effectiveness, promote digitization and automation to enhance client impact.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 4 years of experience.
• CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance credentials may qualify.

• Master of Business Administration in Management, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Data Processing/Analytics/Science preferred.
• Admission to the Bar or Licensed Customs Broker.
• In‑depth knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection procedures.
• Analysing client internal control practices.
• Evaluating client compliance with import control regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Classification System.
• Knowledge of customs valuation and preferential trade agreements.
• Managing resource requirements and project workflow.
• Building and maintaining client relationships.
• Communicating unique selling points.
• Supervising teams and creating an atmosphere of trust.
• Seeking diverse views to encourage improvement.
• Coaching staff and providing timely feedback.
• Innovating through new and existing technologies.
• Working with large, complex data sets.

Up to 20% travel.

Salary range: $99,000–$266,000. Actual compensation will be dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
