Why This Role Is Valuable The Quantitative Developer will help with the implementation of efficiency-improving solutions for the assessment of residential real estate equity and debt investments.

How You Add Value Analyzing investment data, making detailed inferences or attributions

Assessing complex financial models for opportunities to make efficiency improvements

Using the latest technology tools to improve the efficiency and/or reduce the complexity of financial workflows

Translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for usage on a website application

What You Bring To

The Role

Required:

Minimum of 5 years experience

The candidate should have a strong background and familiarity with at least one type of real estate equity and/or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS, and/or whole loan trading

This position requires candidates to have three main pillars of professional skill:

Writing code in an object-orientated coding language

Manipulating various type of database data using SQL Working with complex Excel workbooks

The main object-oriented coding language used in this position is C#, however experience with Java/C++/Python and a willingness to learn C# is acceptable

Database data is primarily housed within Microsoft SQL databases, though some data is found in Snowflake data warehouses. Being a strong user of either T-SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL is required, though the candidate must be willing to primarily use Microsoft T-SQL Preferred:

A college degree or higher in a STEM field

Master’s degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
