MFV Partners is an early-stage Deep Tech VC fund based in the San Francisco Bay Area. At MFV, we back promising deep tech founders across areas like Quantum Computing, Robotics & Automation, AI Infrastructure, EV/Battery/ Energy, Health devices, and Computational Chemistry/Bio. Our portfolio includes category leaders like Psi Quantum (optical quantum computing), Agility Robotics (Humanoid Robot), Sun Mobility (Battery Swap for EV), Chef Robotics (Food Robotics), and Rescale (High-Performance Computing).

This is an on-site full-time role as a Pre-Seed Investor at MFV Partners in our Chicago Office. As an Investor, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, including sourcing investment prospects, market research, conducting due diligence, analyzing investment opportunities, and assisting with portfolio management. This role is a partner track opportunity with generous carried interest and market compensation.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or Sciences
• Experience in working with formation-stage entrepreneurs
• Investment or startup operating experience in deep tech
• Keen interest and curiosity in emerging technology areas
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
