Responsibilities:

As a high-growth, boutique consulting firm, Pathstone offers a unique opportunity for senior associates to play a significant role in supporting client engagements and practice development initiatives. Below is a list of representative responsibilities for each area:

Client Engagements:
  • Lead execution of key engagement work streams and initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Lead junior team members in work streams and initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Own analysis of complex data sets to generate insights and identify opportunities
  • Own development of persuasive business cases and presentations to clients
  • Own identification of strategies and recommendations to improve client's performance
  • Lead project management efforts for client engagements
  • Build strong partnerships with client stakeholders to ensure successful completion of work streams
  • Communicate and engage with client stakeholders ranging from front-line staff to executives
  • Initial focus will be IT including applications (EHR, ERP, Ancillary, Business and Security), Infrastructure (Client Devices, Microsoft, Servers, Storage, Hosting etc.), Connectivity (Voice, Data, Wireless, Collaboration, and Equipment), and Support Services (Managed Print, Staffing, etc.).
Internal Development:
  • Leads internal operational areas to improve internal processes, increase firm brand equity and build upon client delivery and methodology
  • Lead and support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, market research, branding, engagement, and intellectual property/knowledge repository development initiatives
  • Participate in team building activities and attend quarterly events in person
  • 3+ years of prior work experience, with demonstrated ownership of client-facing consulting work streams or operational improvement initiatives. Management consulting experience required; candidates with fewer years but exceptional project ownership track records will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare IT as either a sourcing category manager, project management, or with a vendor/IT reseller.
  • Proficiency with data and analytics tools - advanced Excel, SQL, and BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau; experience with data modeling and reporting
  • Familiarity with healthcare data structures (item master, charge master, contracts, spend) and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 / FHIR) a plus
  • Experience supporting system implementations, integrations, or data migrations in a hospital or health system environment preferred
