SUMMARY:

A well-established manufacturer of custom-engineered flexible packaging materials is seeking a Product Line Manager to help drive the continued growth of its North American healthcare business.

This highly visible position combines product-line strategy with hands‑on commercial execution. The Product Line Manager will lead initiatives involving pricing, profitability, forecasting,

inventory strategy, customer engagement, and continuous improvement. The position works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across sales, operations, supply

chain, finance, marketing, customer service, and new product development.

Candidates must possess substantial knowledge of flexible packaging manufacturing and healthcare packaging applications, particularly within the pharmaceutical or medical device markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop short‑and long‑term product‑line strategies supporting revenue growth, margin expansion, and market development.
  • Establish performance metrics and drive cross‑functional accountability for targeted business results.
  • Identify market, customer, and product opportunities and convert them into actionable growth initiatives.
  • Engage directly with customers and strategic partners to understand emerging needs, market trends, and future application requirements.
  • Develop and manage value‑based pricing strategies and oversee the daily execution of quotes.
  • Analyze monthly product‑line profitability and lead actions to improve financial performance.
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual business‑planning activities.
  • Manage customer proposals and contracting activities, including analysis, recommendations, drafting, and approval coordination.
  • Present monthly business and financial performance updates to executive leadership.
  • Partner with sales and customer service to remove barriers to growth and accelerate new‑business opportunities.
  • Coordinate the resolution of significant customer, commercial, and operational issues.
  • Lead strategic and continuous‑improvement initiatives across multiple business functions.
  • Manage product‑line policies and exceptions involving minimum order quantities, inventory, rush orders, and pricing.
  • Track exceptions, quantify their financial impact, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and operations to achieve inventory targets while protecting customer service and continuity of supply.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five or more years of experience in product management, product‑line management, commercial leadership, or a related healthcare packaging role.
  • Extensive knowledge of flexible packaging manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, medical device, or closely related healthcare packaging applications.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, profitability analysis, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate markets, assess business opportunities, and translate analysis into executable strategies.
  • Experience resolving complex, high‑impact, and cross‑functional business challenges.
  • Strong critical‑thinking, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across functions and organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and produce high‑quality results in a fast‑changing environment.
  • MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically on a limited basis, generally less than 10%.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • We are entering an important new chapter under new leadership and are investing in the people, leadership, and processes needed to build a high‑performing organization.
  • We are seeking individuals who embrace accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Those who join during this stage of transformation will have a meaningful opportunity to influence the culture, earn greater leadership responsibility, and grow alongside the business.
  • Direct influence over the growth and profitability of an expanding healthcare business.
  • Significant exposure to executive leadership, customers, and strategic partners.
  • Broad ownership of product‑line strategy and commercial performance.
  • Opportunity to shape pricing, market development, operational priorities, and customer strategy.
