Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) is the nation's largest and only year-round presenter of American tap dance and contemporary percussive arts. We are seeking a Facilities and Programs Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of the Mayfair Arts Center, our arts incubator in Calumet Heights, along with production coordination of our seasonal and core education and performance programs. This role is great for a motivated individual with great communication and organizational skills, and a knack for customer service who is looking to advance a career in Arts Administration.

A project of Chicago Human Rhythm Project, the Mayfair Arts Center (MAC) is a collaborative effort to foster community growth through rhythmic expression. We aim to offer diverse, high-quality dance and movement classes to the general public while centralizing the education programs, rehearsal space and informal performances of several core groups, as well as supporting additional emerging companies and independent artists.

Facilities Coordination - 50%
Lead and manage the participation of partners, residents, and space users to be a part of achieving the MAC's overall goals.
Maintain service agreements and clearly communicate program policies, procedures, and guidelines.
In conjunction with MAC Associates, manage class scheduling and all client registration and payments using Wellness Living and Class Bug software.
Coordinate efforts of staff, intern, and volunteer resources in training in Class Bug and Wellness Living and database maintenance.
Serve as an active presence at the Mayfair Arts Center (MAC), providing excellent customer service to patrons and guests.
Assist Core and Community Partners onsite at the MAC.
Create and maintain CRM registration pages for classes and events at the MAC.
Field general inquiries by maintaining email inboxes and phones.
Ensure that the facility is fully operational including electricity, phones, internet, HVAC, printers, snow removal, restrooms, custodial services and others as may be assigned.
Schedule and supervise building maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and assist with energy management. Oversee security of buildings and grounds.
Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and team.
Program Coordination - 40%
Assist with the planning and execution of CHRP's core and seasonal programs. Communicate with internal and external partners to coordinate venue rental, staffing, production support, box office management, and marketing.
Create and maintain program event pages.
Oversee box office and ticketing for ticketed events and programs.
Manage guest artists and faculty, delivering contracts, executing riders, coordinating travel and lodging, and ensuring accurate payment.
Other duties as assigned - 10%
Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
2 - 5 years experience in arts administration, production management, and/or facility management.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Temperament and personality appropriate for a team-based, customer-service environment. Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
Must be a well-organized and customer oriented self-starter.
