Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 per year

We partner directly with Owners, Developers, Architects, and GCs to help create the most competitive bid in the market. We have grown 75% in the last year and would love a Senior Cost Estimator to help with this growth!

We are looking for someone to come on board who has a strong Cost Estimating background with an estimating consulting company, or something similar. If this person is located in Chicagoland, this would be a hybrid role. If they are remote in another state, they are expected to make a visit to the Chicago office every 4-6 weeks.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position. This person should be located in the Chicagoland area, and there is some remote flexibility with this role. As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will be a crucial part of our construction operations, providing detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects.
Responsibilities- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for construction projects across all CSI divisions.
- Evaluate and analyze data to accurately forecast the cost, size, and duration of future projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
- Review and update existing cost estimating tools and methodologies to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and construction materials to inform cost estimation.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cost estimation within the construction industry at a cost estimating firm.
- Proven experience with quantity take-offs and estimating across all CSI divisions.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in industry-standard cost estimating software and tools.
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) are a plus.
