Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and owner consultations to gather relevant data.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing to maintain competitive and realistic estimates.
  • Support the development of bid strategies and proposal documents.
  • Assist in post-bid reviews and handoff to project teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating heavy civil projects.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Heavy Bid, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
