Job Description

• Lead all preconstruction activities from conceptual design through GMP delivery on complex, ground-up commercial/multifamily projects.
• Oversee estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering efforts to ensure accuracy and alignment with client goals.
• Manage and mentor a growing preconstruction team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
• Partner closely with operations, business development, and executive leadership to create winning project strategies and proposals.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, technology, and cost modeling to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners to support repeat business and market growth.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering (or related working experience)
• Experience in preconstruction for mutlifamily/commerical projects
• 10-15+ years of experience preferred
• Ability to hire, train, and develop the preconstruction team
• Have a good understanding and network within the Chicago construction industry
• Proficient in Pro Core, Bluebeam, CMIC
• Interpersonal communication
• Ability to adapt to ensure project success
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Projects
