• Construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, metal and wallboard using hand tools and power tools.
• Install doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials and millwork.
• Build rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports and temporary frame shelters according to sketches, blueprints or verbal instructions.
• Examine specifications to determine dimensions of structures and measure boards, timbers or plywood using various tools.
• Saw boards and plywood panels to required sizes, brace forms in place with timbers, tie rods and anchor bolts, and build framework to strengthen, protect or disguise buildings undergoing construction.
• Erect scaffolding for buildings and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms and gangways; install rough frames and brace them with boards nailed to framework; install subflooring; weld parts to steel structural members.
