Project Manager Assistant

Calumet City Plumbing is seeking a dynamic Project Manager Assistant to support project managers in driving operational efficiency by maintaining comprehensive project documentation, coordinating daily activities to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, and managing administrative functions. This role plays a key part in keeping projects organized and running smoothly through meticulous record‑keeping and proactive coordination across departments.

• Assist in management of project documentation including contract execution, bonds/insurance, submittals, schedules, RFIs, and change proposals/orders.
• Aid in management project financials including reporting, projections, cash flow, billing, profitability, and close‑out/final payment.
• Assist Project Managers in setting up initial estimates & bids.
• Partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop, input, and monitor the master project schedule.
• Assist in subcontract administration.
• Assist Project Manager in development and execution of project quality control program and see that contract standards are met.
• Create a positive work environment by communicating effectively, respectfully, and leading by example.
• All other duties as assign.

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Experience in G702 and G703 contract time and material, and unit billings.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
• Flexibility to work extended work hours/days to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering or Construction Management, or similar field is a plus.
