Assistant Project Manager at a design‑build general contractor in Chicago.
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with the management and coordination of construction projects from start to finish. Work closely with senior project managers and field staff to ensure that all project activities align with quality, safety, and budgetary requirements. Support the team in meeting deadlines, tracking project documentation, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- 1‑3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a project assistant or coordinator role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, documentation, and terminology.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project) and the MS Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and able to identify problems and suggest solutions.
- Team‑player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations is a plus.
