Construction Safety Manager
US, Chicago - 12 Month Contract
Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company manufacturing plasma‑derived and recombinant therapeutic products that treat people with rare and serious diseases. We are searching on an exclusive basis to appoint a Construction Safety Manager on a 12‑month contractual basis.
Responsibilities- Lead site‑wide construction safety strategy and compliance.
- Oversee and audit contractor EHS performance.
- Review and approve contractor safety plans and mobilisation documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, LOTO, energy isolation and safe systems of work.
- Degree preferred (Engineering Degree as a minimum).
- Extensive construction safety experience.
- Major pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences or highly regulated industrial project experience.
- Previous owner‑side or owner’s representative experience.
- Experience overseeing EPCs, construction managers and multiple contractors.
