Certified Boom Lift Operator
MGR Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Certified Boom Lift Operator for a commercial construction project in Chicago, Illinois.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a boom lift to provide access for construction personnel performing repairs on a three-storey commercial building. Safety, communication, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Responsibilities- Safely operate articulated and/or telescopic boom lifts on an active construction site.
- Position and maneuver the lift to provide safe access for workers performing exterior building repairs.
- Conduct daily pre-operational equipment inspections.
- Follow all site safety procedures and manufacturer operating guidelines.
- Maintain clear communication with workers in the platform and ground personnel.
- Monitor work areas for hazards and ensure safe lift operation at all times.
- Report any equipment defects or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with other general site duties as required when the lift is not in operation.
- Valid MEWP/Aerial Lift (Boom Lift) Operator Certification.
- Previous experience operating boom lifts on commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to safely work around other trades and equipment.
- Reliable transportation to the project site.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Steel-toe work boots and appropriate PPE required.
- Experience working on commercial building restoration or exterior repair projects.
- Basic knowledge of construction operations and job site procedures.
