Project Manager – Retail Interiors & Renovations
Location: Chicago Suburbs, IL (On-Site)
Our client is a well-established general contractor specializing in high-end retail tenant improvements and renovation projects for nationally recognized brands. Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative company with a strong reputation for delivering complex interior build-outs and renovations across the country.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple retail tenant improvement and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall project execution plans.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Negotiate and award subcontracts while managing procurement activities.
- Monitor project costs, forecast budgets, and ensure financial performance.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to clients and internal leadership.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Foster strong client relationships that lead to repeat business.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Experience managing retail tenant improvement, renovation, and interior fit-out projects
. - Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
