Overview

We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager (Sr. CM) to oversee and direct multiple telecommunications construction projects, including aerial, underground, and fiber optic installations. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and customer specifications. The Sr. CM will provide leadership to Construction Managers, Supervisors, and field crews while maintaining strong relationships with clients, municipalities, utilities, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple telecom construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Manage aerial, underground, fiber optic, coax, and directional drilling operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and cost reports
  • Coordinate with engineering, permitting, utility, and right-of-way partners
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary escalation point
  • Lead weekly production, scheduling, and safety meetings
  • Monitor quality control standards and ensure adherence to specifications
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and contract compliance
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Mentor and develop Construction Managers, Supervisors, and field leadership
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of telecommunications construction experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership or multi-project management role
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks (FTTH, backbone, and distribution)
  • Hands‑on experience with aerial and underground telecom construction
  • Working knowledge of permitting, right-of-way, and utility coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction prints, plans, and KMZ files
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project) and project management tools
  • Valid driver’s licence
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • PMP certification
  • Experience working with major telecom carriers
  • CDL (preferred, not required)
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • High-level problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Work Environment / Additional Information
  • Regular visits to active construction job sites
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • $90,000 – $95,000 annually
    , depending on experience (may be increased for candidates with exceptional experience.)
