Our client is seeking an experienced Glass & Glazing Estimator for a full-time opportunity in the Chicago, Illinois area. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience estimating commercial glass and glazing projects.
Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial glass and glazing projects.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify project scope, potential risks, and value engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, general contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial glass and glazing estimating experience
. - Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, OST, or similar platforms.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and discussed during the interview process.
