Senior Project Manager – Industrial Construction
A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale industrial construction projects throughout the Chicago area. This role will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout while leading project teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with industrial warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and large-scale distribution centers
, along with strong knowledge of the Chicago subcontractor market.
- Manage large commercial and industrial construction projects from award through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Lead project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client meetings
- Oversee contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Coordinate with Superintendents to maintain schedule, quality, and safety goals
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions
- Ensure successful project closeout and client satisfaction
- 10+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor
- Experience managing industrial warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center projects
- Experience with precast concrete construction
- Proven success managing large "big box" projects ranging from 500,000 to 1,000,000+ square feet
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago subcontractor market and established local trade relationships
- Procore experience is required
- Microsoft Project scheduling experience is required
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Salary Range: $150,000–$190,000 per year
