We're partnered with a well-established, family-owned General Contractor that's looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to its growing team.
With 50 years in business
, this contractor has built its success through repeat clients, quality workmanship, and a commitment to developing its employees from within. As the company continues to grow, they're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside them and eventually step into a Project Manager position.
Their work is centered around a diverse portfolio of commercial interiors, exterior renovations, and ground-up construction across the Chicagoland area. Projects include tenant build-outs, retail and restaurant spaces, office renovations, multi-tenant buildings, and other commercial developments
, with most projects ranging from $1M-$5M
.
This is an ideal environment for someone who wants hands-on experience. Rather than being one small piece of a large project, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with Project Managers from start to finish, gaining exposure to budgeting, estimating, scheduling, client interaction, and project execution.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist in managing commercial construction projects from kickoff through closeout
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Support scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
- Work alongside field teams, architects, clients, and vendors
- Assist with estimating and preconstruction activities
- Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
What They're Looking For:
- Experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager with a General Contractor
- Commercial construction experience required
- Commercial interiors experience is highly desirable
- Estimating or preconstruction experience is a plus
- Ambitious individual looking to grow into a Project Manager role
- Base salary up to $100K + bonus potential
