Superintendent

Paul Borg Construction Company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Superintendent. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects, including projects with budgets exceeding $10 million. Experience working on municipal, county, or other public-sector projects is highly preferred. The successful candidate will be a strong leader who excels at coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and fostering a collaborative jobsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily field operations from project mobilization through final completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain and manage the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Lead daily coordination meetings and communicate project expectations to all trades.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Enforce all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections and proactively identify and resolve construction issues.
• Coordinate inspections with municipal agencies and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager regarding project progress, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and change orders.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, safety documentation, and project records.
• Coordinate deliveries, equipment usage, material staging, and overall site logistics.
• Ensure the project site remains clean, organized, and professionally maintained throughout construction.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience managing projects with construction values of $10 million or greater.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing complex construction schedules.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, or similar field management tools.

Preferred

• Experience managing municipal, county, or other government-funded construction projects.
• Experience with adaptive reuse, renovations, hospitality, or restaurant construction.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Experience coordinating building inspections, permitting, and public agency requirements.
