Safety Consultant - IL

This role involves building working relationships with business unit leaders, focusing on construction safety. The Safety Consultant will deliver programs to train employees in the fundamentals of occupational safety and facilitate the implementation of policies and procedures relating to construction occupational health and safety.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field is preferred. A combination of education, training/certification, and experience with large scale construction projects in lieu of education will be considered.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience providing safety services to large construction projects. Utility experience desired.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, best practice, case management, and contractor oversight.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Effective presentation skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret existing, new, and emerging safety regulations to initiate corporate compliance strategies.
  • Develop programs, policies, and procedures and coordinate implementation to assure the health and safety of personnel while controlling company losses.
  • Analyze contractor safety performance indicators to identify trends and provide consultation to achieve effective solutions.
