Site Manager
The Superintendent is a key representative of Evans General Contractors, LLC (Evans) by managing and supporting the execution of projects throughout the United States. They will manage and supervise field personnel, along with the work of vendors and subcontractor, in the execution and project completion of assigned Projects. The Superintendent is tasked with identifying and ensuring prompt resolution of issues and works together with the Project Team to ensure the Work is proceeding safely, on schedule, within budget and according to contract requirements and specifications.
This position will be assigned to/work from Evans' jobsites in Chicago, Illinois.
- Enforce safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe jobsite
- Conduct safety orientation for all subcontractors and visitors to the jobsite
- Oversee daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles faced during construction
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with Owner, onsite Project Team, Consultants/Architect/Engineers and Subcontractors
- Supervise the activities of subcontractors and other staff
- Maintain and update project schedule as required with Project Manager
- Keep track of material stock and orders
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Prepare and submit daily reports
- Attend and participate in project meetings
- Conduct weekly on-site subcontractor meetings
- Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications

- 4+ years of MEP and/or cleanroom experience preferred
- Ability to multitask
- Travel to jobsites as needed
- Prior experience as a Superintendent
- Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
