Project Executive
Location:
Chicago, IL Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 (Based on Experience) Position Overview Reporting to senior leadership, the Project Executive will lead and grow our commercial construction program by overseeing multiple large-scale projects from preconstruction through closeout. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for multiple commercial construction projects, including ground-up and renovation work.
- Manage project finances, including estimating, budgeting, change orders, and profitability.
- Develop schedules, allocate resources, and drive projects to meet key milestones.
- Serve as the primary client contact and resolve project-related issues.
- Coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, design teams, and permitting agencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor PM teams while implementing construction best practices.
- Support design coordination and constructability reviews using CAD/BIM tools.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
- Improve estimating, scheduling, risk management, and project control processes.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of commercial construction and project management experience leading large-scale projects.
- Experience as a Project Executive, Senior PM, Construction Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong background in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, bidding, permitting, and contract management.
- Proven ability to lead PM teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Experience working with GCs, subcontractors, procurement, and contract negotiations.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and problem-solving abilities.
- CAD/BIM experience (AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Works) preferred.
