A growing construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support projects across the Chicago area.
You will work closely with project leaders, site teams and subcontractors to maintain compliance, reduce risk and promote consistently high safety standards.
Key responsibilities- Lead safety activity across construction projects
- Develop and implement project-specific safety plans
- Complete site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Advise project teams and subcontractors on safe working practices
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
- Deliver safety meetings, toolbox talks and training
- Monitor safety performance, reporting and OSHA compliance
- Promote a positive and accountable safety culture
- At least five years’ construction safety experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience conducting inspections, investigations and training
Confidence influencing site teams, subcontractors and project leaders - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between projects
OSHA 500 or 510 and CHST, ASP or CSP certification would be advantageous.
Package- $110,000 to $130,000 base salary
