A growing general contractor is expanding its Chicago team and is looking to addtwo Project Managers to its Central group. These individuals will play a key role in managing a growing pipeline of private and commercial construction projects throughout the Chicago market.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who wants to join a growing organization, take ownership of projects, and have a direct impact on project performance and company growth.
What You’ll DoManage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall execution
Manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and forecasting
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
Review contracts, plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
Maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or cost issues
Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders
Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards
Work closely with the Superintendent and field team to coordinate day-to-day project execution
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Build and maintain strong client and trade-partner relationships
Help drive successful project outcomes while contributing to the continued growth of the Chicago team
5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
Experience with a general contractor or construction management firm
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes from preconstruction through closeout
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractors
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities
Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
