Project Field Engineer

Epstein is seeking a Project Field Engineer to join our growing Construction team. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Overview

Our Project Engineers are onsite at large construction projects throughout the United States. The Project Engineer supports the Site Superintendent and Project Manager in effectively coordinating job site activities, ensuring successful project completion in the field through adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives. Experience with diverse project types such as warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, and food processing facilities is a plus.

Design‑build experience is preferred, but not necessary.

General Responsibilities
  • Develops, maintains and enhances client, subcontractor and vendor relationships
  • Assures construction schedules are maintained by trade contractors
  • Updates and reviews project and 3‑week look‑ahead schedules, daily reports, safety checklists, and ensures onsite adherence to company policies
  • Coordinates the construction sequence of contractors for assigned trades
  • Maintains quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work in progress and completed projects
  • Prepares daily photos of construction progress
  • Maintains construction safety and administers company and OSHA compliance program
  • Supports and coordinates interface between design and field construction
  • Maintains updated set of site drawings
  • Prepares required field documentation and reports (monthly, weekly and daily)
  • Resolves field coordination issues among contractors
Qualifications
  • 1‑4 years of field experience on large projects for a General Contractor or Construction Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of general engineering principles and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing
  • Knowledge of basic scheduling techniques (e.g., Critical Path Method)
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, initiative, and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Procore (preferred)
  • 30‑hour OSHA certification (preferred)

Compensation

Individual compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including education, experience, training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications, and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance. The salary range for this position is $70,000–$90,000 annually.
