A well-established, contractor with extensive experience delivering large-scale aviation projects ranging from $20M–$60M+ is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent for a major aviation project in the Chicago market
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day field operations for a large, complex aviation construction project.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, and project teams.
  • Maintain project schedules and drive work to meet critical milestones.
  • Oversee site safety, quality control, logistics, and overall field execution.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, airport personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and communicate project progress, scheduling needs, and potential challenges.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts while minimizing impacts to schedule and budget.
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Provide strong leadership to field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE previous construction experience working in the Chicago market.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Superintendent or Senior Superintendent on large commercial construction projects.
  • Aviation/airport construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing complex projects in the $20M–$60M+ range preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, safety, and quality control.
  • Ability to successfully operate within active, highly coordinated construction environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
