The Assistant Project Manager role reports directly to a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager. This role can supervise Project Engineers, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to ensure consistent departmental communication and coordination.
We’re looking for you to do the following:- Project Documentation – Follows JBCC procedures to detail, measure and document per project requirements
- Submittals/Material Management – Comply with all project submittal requirements. Accurate log and track submittal status and push for approval with sense of urgency.
- Relationships – Responsible to ensure collaborative team approach to all projects. This includes maintaining a positive relationship with all parties involved in the project: customer, resident engineer, foreman, construction manager, key suppliers, and key subcontractors.
- Financial – Track and accurately report real-time cost vs. budget information. Accurately forecast financial status. Invoice on time for 100% of work completed during pay period.
- Plan/Specifications – Study and understand plan/spec requirements for all assigned work. Ensure project team has and understands most recent documents.
- Project Labor Units – Understand and accurately track estimated labor units
- Schedule
- Develop and update baseline, two week, one week and daily schedule to reflect accurate labor, material, equipment and subcontract time requirements and project constraints. Measure and report on schedule against actual progress and implement appropriate corrective actions as necessary. - Safety
- Job Hazard Analysis is complete and distributed prior to Preconstruction Meeting and is onsite at all times. Ensure site is safe/legal to excavate. - Integrity - expeditiously and reasonably resolve all internal team issues and conflicts, as well as, all external client concerns and issues.
- Experience – 3-6 Years of PM experience
- Experience:
1–2 years of experience working on water or wastewater treatment projects - Print Reading
- Ability to read prints and produce accurate take-offs - Labor units – Ability to source and learn labor units for assigned work
- Computer Skills – Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PPT, P6, HCSS, Procore & Smart Sheet
