In 2023, Home Chef introduced a new brand, Tempo. Tempo features a rotating selection of ready-to-heat meals delivered directly to your door. These meals are better-for-you versions of familiar favorites, designed to save you time and reduce stress while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our Tempo menu includes options that are protein-packed, fiber-rich, calorie and carb conscious, keto-friendly, and dietitian-approved.

• Design interfaces that improve our customer's experience and solve business problems; work through design problems from beginning to end, moving from concept to implementation, and designing the detailed user flows, wireframes, and interactions to make them a reality.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from the whole team.
• Work closely with engineers as they build and ship ideas.
• Create visual design assets, such as icons and illustrations, that are in line with Home Chef's design system and brand.
• Influence product vision and strategy by shaping feature concepts with product managers and stakeholders, exploring multiple solutions, and communicating trade-offs.
• Identify opportunities for UX research or experiments that will influence design decisions.
• Contribute to a growing design practice by leveraging and maintaining Home Chef's design system, identifying UX/usability issues, and sharing learnings with design and product teams.

• 2+ years experience designing digital products for desktop and mobile
• Ability to design detailed, high-fidelity mockups using Figma or Sketch
• Ability to create interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Marvel, and Keynote
• Ability to clearly and concisely articulate design decisions
• Comfortable with ambiguity, and learning through experimentation
• Excellent visual and written communication skills
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS
• A growth mindset with a desire to make things better
• Experience conducting user research is a plus, but not required
• General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED)
