Job Summary
BDO’s Creative Services Senior Design Specialist is a visual storyteller who creates compelling visual solutions to engage, inspire, and educate audiences. Working independently and with support from Creative Services leaders and team members, the specialist combines foundational design principles with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, presentation best practices, and design programs to produce impactful PowerPoint-based deliverables and other creative projects for clients, events, trainings, and speaking engagements.
Job Duties- Designs and produces PowerPoint-based and interactive visual content, including client/prospect presentations, meeting support deliverables, training materials, reports, and related assets.
- Creates visual content for print and digital/interactive environments such as event signage, tradeshow displays, articles, reports, marketing collateral, infographics, email assets, and web & social media graphics.
- Edits images, formats text, and builds custom charts, graphs, tables, icons, and other infographics for presentations, adhering to brand guidelines and leveraging stock assets as needed.
- Reviews and edits copy and messaging for presentations and related deliverables.
- Leads or provides significant support on presentation and design projects and internal focus areas.
- Collaborates with team members and internal clients to establish clear creative direction and execute it confidently.
- Researches firm audiences and recommends appropriate structure, layout, and imagery.
- Maintains and evolves master PowerPoint templates and internal graphic resources.
- Illustrates visual concepts by designing layout, arranging art and copy, and setting type size and style.
- Champions the BDO brand to ensure all marketing and communications reflect the firm’s messaging, positioning, and visual identity.
- Supports development of tools and resources that communicate corporate visual identity and design processes per global standards.
- Ensures quality, accuracy, and consistency of all materials through careful review and adherence to brand standards and processes.
- Maintains digital file management system and follows backup best practices.
- Tracks industry, design, and presentation trends; builds technical knowledge through workshops, webinars, publications, and professional societies.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Major in Graphic Design, Illustration, Marketing, Communications, Technology, Media, or Journalism preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of design or marketing and communications experience required.
- Experience in a professional services environment (e.g., accounting, financial consulting, business advisory, banking) preferred.

- Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint required.
- Advanced experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator required.
- Experience with interactive content creation tools (e.g., Ceros, Outgrow, Content Tools) preferred.
- Experience with Prezi or similar applications preferred.
- Content writing and editing experience.
- Excellent IT skills with design, presentation, interactive, and photo‑editing software.
- Exceptional creativity and thought‑provoking design skills.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a deadline‑oriented environment while leading multiple projects.
- Excellent project leadership, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, editing, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills, consultative approach to marketing and client service professionals.
- Understanding of latest design, presentation, and marketing trends in a professional services environment.
- Capable of understanding and communicating BDO business, marketplace, and value proposition.
- Driven self‑starter with proactive approach to serving professionals in a client‑oriented, matrix environment.
National Range: $74,000 - $85,000
Maryland Range: $74,000 - $85,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $74,000 - $85,000
