The RoleThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys professional event environments, takes pride in polished execution, and works well with clients, venues, and event teams in fast-paced corporate and social settings.
This is a W-2 employee position (part-time with variable hours), not a freelance/1099 role.
What You’ll Do- Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment including audio systems, lighting, and video
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during live events
- Anticipate challenges and take initiative to solve problems before they affect the event
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and other vendors
- Work alongside experienced technicians while learning Ace Chicago Events’ systems and standards
- Lead small teams when needed and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Contribute to creating visually polished, high-quality event environments

General AV knowledge and live event experience required.
Experience working weddings, corporate meetings, galas, conferences, hospitality events, or client-facing event environments is strongly preferred.

Employment ClassificationThis is a W-2 employee position.
Candidates must be comfortable working as a W-2 employee.
This role is not a 1099 / independent contractor position.
