Capital One Brand Creative is looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director to bring our brand to life across different audiences, products, channels, and types of communication. You’ll partner with Creative Directors to define the work and collaborate with Art Directors and Copywriters to deliver the end product.

What You’ll Do- Partner with Creative Directors and Project Managers to define intent, brief teams, and deliver marketing that cuts through the noise. Be a creative leader among your team of Art Directors, Graphic Designers, and Copywriters, including a mix of full‑time associates, contractors, and agencies.
- Lead and execute creative development in support of Capital One’s credit card business across Performance Marketing channels, including social media platforms, video, click‑based outbound media, and SEM.
- Give clear direction and effective feedback around project intent, concepts, design, copy, and motion.
- Collaborate with marketing strategists and internal business clients to positively influence marketing strategy and the customer experience.
- Use evidence and data to ground your creative decisions.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of digital marketing channels, social media advertising and marketing trends, and translate business intent into creative strategies and executions that market products effectively.
- Present and influence with a convincing and inspiring style to increase buy‑in and open the door for new opportunities—for your team and department.
- Mentor and build expertise in your craft, whether copywriting or art direction, with your peers and team members.

Candidates must provide a portfolio of their creative work for consideration.
Basic Qualifications- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 3 years of multi‑channel digital marketing experience on client‑side or agency.
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading creative teams or bodies of work across cross‑functional creative teams.
- At least 5 years of experience in copywriting or art direction.
- Experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated industry.
- Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand.
- Experience leading work through agency resources as the primary creative point of contact.
- Experience in Performance Marketing testing structures across digital, video, and social media channels.

Salary ranges vary by location:
Chicago, IL: $109,900 – $125,400 for Principal Associate, Art Director
McLean, VA: $120,800 – $137,900 for Principal Associate, Art Director
New York, NY: $131,800 – $150,500 for Principal Associate, Art Director
Richmond, VA: $109,900 – $125,400 for Principal Associate, Art Director
This role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
