Join our News Team as a Part-Time Photographer/Editor.
** Responsibilities:
** The Photographer/Editor is responsible for operating cameras, non-linear editing systems, microwave equipment, and cellular bonding equipment in support of electronic news gathering operations.
*
* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or a related field, or equivalent experience required
* Strong understanding of spot news coverage with an eye for creative storytelling
* Ability to safely operate and maneuver a live truck
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
* Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Strong communication skills and sound editorial judgment
* Familiarity with Chicago city streets is a plus
* Experience with Adobe Premiere preferred
* 3–5 years of television news gathering, editing, and microwave experience required
* Valid driver’s license required
* Become a member of IBEW local 1220 television broadcast engineers’ union.
