Learning Mate/Straive and MGT Impact Solutions, LLC (MGT) have established a

strategic global partnership designed to deliver world-class advisory, technology, and

operational solutions for public sector and education clients. This collaboration

leverages MGTs deep expertise in management consulting, social impact advisory, and

technology services with Learning Mate/Straive’s global leadership in educational

technology and talent solutions. Through this partnership, Learning Mate/Straive serves

as a key hiring and onboarding partner for MGT, enabling access to a diverse pool of

global talent and specialized resources. New roles are sourced and hired in close

coordination between both organizations, with Learning Mate/Straive managing

recruitment, onboarding, and initial training.

MGT is seeking highly skilled Copy Editors to support the development of high quality K–12 instructional materials. This hourly, global contractor role requires exceptional fluency in English, strong mastery of grammar and style conventions (Chicago Manual of Style), and a meticulous approach to producing errorfree content. Ideal candidates will have experience editing educational materials and be comfortable working within tight timelines and fastpaced production cycles.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the clarity, accuracy, and consistency of our final deliverables.

• Edit written content to ensure full grammatical accuracy following Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) conventions.
• Apply MGT’s internal style and branding guidelines (along with the client’s style and branding guidelines, when applicable) consistently across all materials.
• Review instructional materials—lessons, assessments, teacher guides, alt-text, student- facing text to ensure they are error-free, well structured, and clear.
• Correct issues related to grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, clarity, and tone.
• Ensure internal consistency across large volumes of content (headings, terminology, formatting, instructions, labels, etc.).
• Flag potential content issues or inconsistencies for writers, designers, and curriculum developers.
• Work efficiently under tight timelines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

• Exceptional fluency in English, including grammar, usage, and mechanics.
• Mastery of English grammar rules and Chicago Manual of Style standards.
• Ability to edit quickly and accurately within fast-paced workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing errorfree work.
• Ability to pass a standard copy edit test.

• Experience copy editing educational materials, especially curriculum or instructional content.
• Understanding of K–12 educational context or terminology (K–5 experience is a plus).
• Experience working with style guides, editorial checklists, and version-controlled documents.
• Comfort working within digital editing platforms (Google Suite, Word, Adobe PDF markup tools, etc.).
