A leading DIY and home renovation You Tube creator is seeking a skilled and reliable Video Editor to join their team. The channel focuses on high-quality, story-driven renovation content, from full room makeovers to detailed tutorials and behind-the-scenes projects.
This is a remote, part-time position (approximately 15-20 hours per week) where you’ll help maintain the established look, pacing, and feel of the channel. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to tell visual stories through projects and transformations.
Schedule & WorkflowThe creator currently edits in iMovie and uses Epidemic Sound for licensed music. Footage is typically ready by Fridays, but the creator is open to adjusting filming days to align with a M-F editing schedule, so weekend work is not required.
Responsibilities- Edit engaging, high-quality DIY and renovation videos for You Tube
- Work closely with the creator to capture their tone, pacing, and aesthetic
- Maintain consistent quality while working efficiently with quick turnarounds
- Incorporate feedback thoughtfully while minimizing multiple revision rounds
- Deliver polished, cohesive final videos ready for upload
- Proven experience as a video editor (Adobe Premiere Pro or similar; experience moving from iMovie is fine)
- Strong storytelling instincts and pacing for tutorial/project-style content
- Ability to deliver high-quality edits on a reasonable turnaround (approx. 48 hours per project)
- Experience editing You Tube content in the lifestyle, DIY, or home renovation space is preferred
- Self-motivated, organized, and reliable
