Parking Lot Attendant – Transportation Department

Full Time – Evening Shift.

Compensation: $16.60/hr – $21.63/hr the estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Position Summary

Provide a personal vehicle parking and retrieval service for Hospital guests while offering exceptional guest service and a quick “hustle” that is necessary to run from one area of the Valet/Parking Operations to another.

Responsibilities
  • Driving vehicle to a designated area in valet parking lot, securing and noting the space the vehicle is parked on valet tag and log, returning the tag and keys to valet key booth.
  • Driving vehicle to and from parked areas, securing the vehicle and noting specific information on the ticket.
  • Following proper safe driving procedures and safety protocol.
  • Greeting all guests upon arrival, opening doors, explaining valet procedures, and asking guests if they need directions and performing access control responsibilities for the valet area.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Hospital policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Work Experience

1 to 3 years of housekeeping experience.

Position Qualifications
  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License required.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Drive vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment.
  • Possess customer services skills.
  • Possess organizational skills.
