Location: Chicago, IL (Wrigley Building)

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour ($39,000 - $48,750 annualized) + Annual Bonus

Position Summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Associate Customer Portal Specialist to support the accurate management of customer portal activity, including orders, shipments, invoices, and customer data.

This role serves as a key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring information is entered accurately, maintained consistently, and processed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, solving problems, improving processes, and delivering a high level of service to both internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain customer information, orders, shipments, and invoices within customer portals
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Monitor customer portals and maintain up-to-date transaction information
  • Troubleshoot portal-related issues and partner with internal support teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather and validate information required for portal updates
  • Communicate with customers regarding data verification, discrepancies, and portal-related questions
  • Support customers with navigating portal systems and resolving administrative issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve data entry processes and portal workflows
  • Recommend and implement efficiency improvements to enhance accuracy and productivity
  • Maintain organized records of customer communications and portal activity
  • Prepare reports and documentation to monitor key performance indicators and data quality
  • Support special projects and additional customer operations initiatives as assigned

Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across departments
  • Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in data entry, customer service, order management, or administrative support
  • Familiarity with customer portals, order processing systems, or CRM platforms
  • Experience supporting B2B customers
  • Additional education or certifications in business, customer service, or data management
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
