Dental Health Informatics Training and Development Specialist - Dental Clinics – College of Dentistry

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $

Responsibilities

The Dental Health Informatics Training and Development Specialist will evaluate training needs of all EHR end‑users and develop tailored solutions by applying new ideas in content design, content management, and eLearning/multimedia tool usage.

They will design, update, and deliver instructor‑led, online, and blended learning curricula, including e‑learning modules, printed materials, tip sheets, and in‑person sessions, and will manage onboarding and off‑boarding processes for faculty, staff, students, and residents in the EHR system in collaboration with UIHealth and other stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an oral health profession, health informatics, health information management, or a clinical discipline with educational or informatics focus.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with an electronic health record (EHR) or development of EHR training, education, or clinical informatics, including direct support of end‑users in an oral health organization, healthcare, or academic health sciences setting.
  • Master’s degree and licensure in oral health sciences or DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent (e.g., MPH, MPA, RDH) preferred.
  • Experience with oral health curriculum, prior teaching experience, and working knowledge of Epic Wisdom Dental Software preferred.
  • Chosen candidate must obtain Epic certification within 6 months of hire.
